add AI Config.vi in Labview 7.0

I am new user of LabVIEW. I have LabView 7 and i want to develop Data acquisition application for PXI. I have also installed NI-DAQ but i couldn't add analog input block like "AI Config.vi, AI Start.Vi etc" in my application. I might be installed NI-DAQ wrongly or i may need to install some thing (Library) still not installed. Can any one suggest to how i can install these component and how i can call in my application.

Hi Vishnu,

These AI Start, AI config  are a part of Traditional DAQ. Just check if you have installed the traditional DAQ Device drivers correctly

Which DAQ card are you using??

Coz if you are using a DAQ card that is compatible with DAQmx, I would suggest you to Install the DAQmx version compatible with LabVIEW 7 and proceed

Find which NI DAQ Driver version is compatible with your LabVIEW version from Here

This link will tell which DAQ Driver version supports your DAQ hardware

This , this and this tutorials will help you to get started with DAQmx

Any doubts, do ask

Regards,

Dev

Is it needed to installed DAQmx?

Technically speaking, your Hardware ( E series DAQ card) is supported by both Legacy Traditional DAQ and DAQmx

Since your hardware is supported by DAQmx, I would 'Advise' you to go with it, for the obvious advantages it has over the Legacy DAQmx

Also read the links I had sent in my previous post to understand the benefits of using DAQmx
