XPS Controller backlash

Occasionally, the XPS controller jerks when my Labview program initializes:

(Group Kill == > Group Initialize ==> Group Home search) 

For example, in the program below, after running the program a couple of times, this fatal error occurs and there is a sudden jerk in the XY stages.

The movement is very quick and can break the XPS controller. How do I avoid this sudden movement? Please help me ASAP!

I would find the source of the error and make sure that no commands are sent if the error occurs.

You are learning how to program instruments in the real world.  This is a good thing!  Hopefully you're not learning at the expense of some expensive equipment.  😉
