XML LV6.1 -> LV7.1 questions

In the past I used the xml vis to store vi setups instead of the ini-file vis.
However two bad things in LV6.1 with XML limited the general use. Now I will upgrade to LV7.1 and already started with a project where I would like to use XML functionality.

How about the restricted (fixed to 5) resolution of numerical values? Still there?

The handling of the decimal point is localized in the flatten/unflatten to/from xml vis (6.1). I don't know much about the Labview-XML-shema (and XML rules). Is there a way to tell Labview to always use the '.' in the flatten/unflatten vis?

In 7.1 floating point numbers are still restricted to 5 digits past the decimal point.

However, in 7.1 the localization issue was fixed (actually it was fixed in the localized versions of 6.1). So, regardless of locale, floating point numbers are always flattened (and therefore unflattened) using "." as a decimal separator.

Hope this helps.
