XControl Method - deprecate

Is there a way to deprecate a method in an XControl?

Only if you can access the control's source code.

Mike,

i think that Paul is asking if it is possible to mark a method of an XControl, which is available as invoke node, as deprecated (dark red/brown color) in the invoke node itself.

Is my assumption correct, Paul?

Yes.  I have the source code; I want 2 of the old methods to show up in pink.

If you talk about the VI icon itself, you can modify it. For the invoke node: I don't think that you can modify the color it uses....

Invoke nodes do have flags, but I haven't found a way to set them.  I tried guessing some items to insert into the .xctl file, but nothing worked.Invoke Flags.png

I've never needed this functionality, but I can see why it might be useful.  I'd suggest posting this idea on the idea exchange so other users can vote on it.
