Write in buffer with DAQmx

Hi !
Can you explain me how can I write a profile of current in a buffer with DAQmx's, and how can I send it on an analog output ?
I use a PCI-MIO-16E-1 aquisition card and LabVIEW 7.0
Thanks

First of all, the card doesn't output current. It outputs voltage. I don't have the specs handy so for max current output, you'll have to look them up and see if the board meets your needs. If it does, and if you have a know load, you can convert the current you need to a voltage specification with a little math (V=R*I is Ohm's Law). There are several shipping examples with LabVIEW 7 that demonstrate analog output. For a single point output, look at Help>Find Examples>Hardware Input and Output>DAQmx>Analog Generation>Gen Voltage Update. There are other examples for output a waveform like Cont Gen Voltage Wfm-Int Clk. You can also use the DAQ Assistant to get you started.

Hello,

do you know that there are specific conditionning devices that able you to output current instead of voltage. It is an other possibility if you don't want to create your own external assembly.
Do not hesitate to use the example Cont Mult Voltage updates - Int clock, which fills a buffer and sends it to the AO.

Hope this helps
