Windows hangs on configuring LabVIEW

I have a Win2K machine with LV7.1 running a rack with test equipment. The computer uses ethernet to communicate to the test equipment. When I restart the computer and login, Windows goes through its normal initialization until it puts up a dialog that says "Please wait while windows configures NI LabVIEW 7.1". At this point the dialog hangs forever. Even pressing the Cancel button doesn't bring it back. I logged in as a non-administrator. Any help most appreciated.

I've only seen one instance of this happening before. It can be found in this thread. Apparently uninstalling and reinstalling fixed the problem, so hopefully it will also in your case. Let me know how it goes.
