Windows XP AccessHW Outport Problem

I am using the AccessHW Port IO VIs to write to the parallel port. This
works fine on my Dell workstation with Windows XP. However, although I get
no errors when I run the program, the VIs don't work on my target computer
which is a Toshiba notebook, also with Windows XP. The parallel port
control does work on the notebook with a C++ program that I didn't write.
Any ideas?

As I mentioned in my post, I am using the AccessHW VIs so yes, it is
installed. It simply works on one XP machine but not on another.
