Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and LabVIEW 2013

Solved!

I have a similar question about Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.  Does the LabVIEW 2013 SP1 Runtime Engine work on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise?  I'd like to deploy a LabVIEW application builder-created .exe to a rugged tablet that seems to come with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.

It may work, but it is not supported (http://www.ni.com/labview/os-support/ ).

Thanks for your time - Chris

The official supported versions are listed here:

Official National Instruments never tested older versions than the ones listed above. So it may work but also may not. Give it a try but be aware of functions not working correctly.

Additional Information about the different supported Windows 10 IoT versions can be found here:

In addition to what has been said already there is no simple yes it works, or no it doesn't. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is in principle the full Windows 10 version with support for Win32 applications, unlike all the other Windows 10 IoT versions. So the the basic compatibility is there. LabVIEW being a Win32 application will only run on the Enterprise version of Windows 10 IoT, all the others IoT versions lack the necessary support for Win32 applications.

One extra problem in the OP post is the fact that he tries to run LabVIEW 2013 on this. NI has not tested LabVIEW 2013 to run on Windows 10 and will not do so as it was released before Windows 10. So there is no guarantee that it would work. Generally speaking I have been able to install even older versions than LabVIEW 2010 on Windows 10 but I have not tested them exhaustively so there is a good possibility that some things might not work as intended. This means the only way to make sure is to install it and try it yourself (and of course test everything VERY throughly as there might be hidden issues that may turn out to be hard to find but fatal for your specific application).
