Why can't I access archived historical data remotely?

I can not access archived data on a remote machine with the Classical Historical Database
Viewer or with an example VI I modified.

Hi,

to access a remote database on another computer you have to know the abolute path on this other computer and specify a "networked database path" as e.g. "\\computername\driveletter\folder\data"

Here is a basic link on how to do that:

As well the online help of Read Historical Trend(s).vi points it out.

Now, I just hope you are using LabVIEW DSC 6.1.
