I started LabVIEW 8.5.1 by clicking on a VI and got the following popup (see image).
I pressed [NO] and LabVIEW proceeded to work normally.
Can anyone explain what triggered this, I have never seen this before? I have not touched the installed runtime in a long time and I would not even know how to make "configuration changes" to the runtime engine. What does this all mean? 😉
Does the runtime have an autoupdate feature.

I have not seen that on my 8.5.1 (yet???)
At least it was a multiple choice test 🙂

I remember this also happend to me. Some time ago then I without knowing it was working on a PC with a "cracked" Labview 8.5 licence file
(Sorry just a joke but I could not resist)

The license is fine (and the runtime does not even need a license).
I had some disk corruption a few days ago and it automatically repaired them upon reboot. Maybe some data structures got messed up somewhow? I think there was also a message that it had to recover the registry from a backup copy (...or similar. I did not write things down).
