Where is FieldPoint support in LabView 8?

I just purchased some FieldPoint equipment and LabView 8 Full version.  Since I am mostly a LabWindows programmer, I wired my hardware together, and in a couple hours, produced a LabWindows test program to verify that the hardware worked properly.

But, I need to upgrade a large LabView application to use FieldPoint.  So the first thing to do, is reproduce the test program I did in LabWindows.

I installed LabView8, ran the FieldPoint installer CD -- no support for LabView 8.

I tried to copy the LabView 7.1 vi's into LabView 8 -- generates long lists of errors.

The FieldPoint examples in the LabView 8 directory do not work at all.

I've spent hours going through the NI website trying to find help -- nothing useful.

At this moment, my project is dead in the water.

If LabView 8 does not support NI software, it's not ready for prime time.

Hey, NI.  If I send you my LabView 8 package, will you send me a 7.1, that works?

I apologize for the confusion- my link was out of date.  The link posted most recently explains the current state of and how to use FieldPoint with LabVIEW 8.0.

Thanks to all.  As I mentioned to the NI field engineer nearby, sometimes things like this get very frustrating.  I purchase a bunch of NI stuff, put it together and expect it to work.....

Hello Hendra-

Thanks for your patience.  Rest assured that the new features available with FieldPoint 5.0 (when it releases shortly) will be well worth the wait.Smiley Happy
