My web-based installer has downloaded for ~40 hrs, and now it is at 109 % ??

Sounds like a bad "guestimate" of the denominator of "fraction downloaded" (maybe a confusion between 1000 and 2^10 = 1024?). Can you get the downloader to tell you what it is downloading, and get an idea of what package/driver/module it represents? Some of us may be able to look at "what's included" and say, for example, "do you have "visionFPGA" in Program Files (x86)\LabVIEW xxxx\vi.lib?". I'm not sure I'd be too worried until you hit 50-60 hours ...

After a new download attempt, it (finally) completed at 100% and now I have a fresh 2018 installation of LabVIEW 🙂
FYI, the web-based download has a pause-button. You may pause the download, but don't expect it to complete flawlessly if the computer goes into sleep mode.

40h?! That sounds excessive! Are you downloading all packages and versions?

No, only LabVIEW 2018 32-bit, the VISA drivers and some other tools. The download was ~19GB.
Anyone who's experiencing the same, be patient and do not abort the download even if it reaches more than 100 % (as was the case for my previous download of additional tools)
