Waveform Graph instead of Waveform Chart

Why can't I simply substitute a WF Graph for a WF chart on a 2D array input? I believe that in some cases I would be better off using a graph instead of a chart but don't know how to do this.

I've been using LabVIEW for some 5 years now and I still get confused about graphs. Graphs require X and Y, whereas Charts only require Y, and sometimes x0 and dx. You have to bundle the inputs to a graph, but not always to a chart. Its kinda hard to keep track of. I always go to the fundamental examples of graphs and charts to make sure. Try that yourself, it should answer your questions.
