I am doing data aquisition on a marine turbine generator and I need to know a few essential things using Labview. I need to know the:
- hydraulic pressure that it outputs
- rotational speed that it is spinning with
- flow speed of the surrounding water.
I have mostly designed everything for the first 2 pieces but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about the type of equipment that I should invest in to find the water's speed. Some info about the water: We're in a dock with a pretty strong current passing by (up to about 5.5 knots). It's a dock near the ocean, so the tides will move in and out and I need to track the data for possibly days at a time.
