WSN Node As Router

Solved!

Hi,

Can anybody confirm that it is still not possible today to configure programmatically the node as a routeur?

If it's possible how can I do that?

Best regards,

Hi,

Ya , we can do so by using http://www.ni.com/example/31480/en/ link.I also tried it but its very slow process.Code is given their to make node as Router programatically as they design  NI MAX in that.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

tried the app you're refering to but when I add a node as a mesh routeur the app still sees it as an End Node. Moreover, If I use MAX to check the status of the node, I get an error:

undefined

Apparently this is some kind of software incompatibility? Do you expérience the same behavior? What kind of software do you run? I personnally use NI-WSN 1.5 (sept 2013) and Labivew 2013 SP1.

Best regards

Hi,

Ya I am working with this and today I also tried to programmatically change Node as Router /End Node but same error came like you got.So alternative way is that instead of doing programmatically , used "system exec.vi" to excute MAX from VI only, as its fast.My version of MAX is 14.0 and LabVIEW 2012.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

Did you manage to control MAX from your vi? is there a command line that should be passed to the MAX executable to make the switch from end node to mesh router? Or do you just launch MAX from your vi and use the MAX user interface to configure the node?

Best regards,

hi,

ya, I just launch MAX from VI as in that WSN Dynamic API also , there is no provision to change WSN as Router. It just provides the facility to add Nodes and that it also not working.
