Variable Reluctance Sensor simulation

I am a student who has just started using labview and am trying to simulate a variable reluctance crank sensor signal from a motorbike engine. A toothed wheel (12 teeth minus 3) is mounted on the crankshaft and has 3 teeth missing to allow the crankshaft angle to be determined. The resulting waveform is sinusoidal like where one cycle represents one tooth. The gap where the teeth are missing produces a flat line.

What i would like to do is simulate this signal approximately by producing a sin wave that cycles 9 times and then produces a flat line to represent the gap. This whole process would be repeated indefinately. Could anyone nudge me in a right direction.

Thanks
