VI disk space considerably less after upgrade to 8.6.1

I just upgraded from 8.5.1 to 8.6.1. Now, the main VI of a large project I was working on went From 534 KB to 199 KB.

Sub-vi's also lost considerable weight.

I'd like to be excited about this, but it just seems too drastic of a diet. What happened?

Also, upon upgrade to 8.6.1, what is the *.lvps file in my project?

thanks

The .lvlps file stores local project settings for your LabVIEW Project.  The LabVIEW File Extensions page has a blurb with some more details.

Thanks Dennis & Darren. This is a great reason to upgrade (although it was a big hassle this time).

I've used 500KB as a sign-post that a VI is getting too big. Now my VI's can have more fluff and still be compact! Smiley Very Happy
