Using NI DAQmx measuring voltage

Hi ,
I have a question regarding the NI DAQmx. I  programmed on LabVIEW and tried to measure the sinusoidal voltage output of a 
function generator. I wired AI0 and AIGND to the two ends of function generator. The output of function generator is very low, around 1V. But the 
measures voltage always stays on the maximum value(that is 10V) . Can you give me some suggestion on this issue?

You have wired it for single ended. Did you program your task for the same thing? How are you measuring the voltage? How does the signal look in the test panel in MAX?

A lot a guessing here because you have not provided a lot of details on exactly what you have programmed.
