Using 8253/8254 counters

Trying to use the counters on DAQcard500. None of the examples I have work
with the 8253/8254 counters. Need to measure frequency of pulse train. Can
anybody help with examples?

I had a problem with this some time ago and was assured that the latest
version of NI DAQ was the solution. I found a description in the NI
knowledge base for the DAQ700 that was identical but nothing under DAQ500. I
was running Labview 4.0

Joe,
You can find examples that demonstrate how to measure a pulse train frequency
in LabVIEW's Examples directory at LabVIEW/Examples/DAQ/Counters. The examples
are broken down into specific counter/timer chips, i.e. 8253, AM9513, DAQ-STC,
or NI-TIO.
