Upgrading my Labview code from Version 2006 to Version 9

Hi All,

In our company we are trying to upgrade the source code of Version 6 LabVIEW to version 9 of LabVIEW. Can someone please suggest me how i cna go about this? in the previous version we only had VIs so i wanted to transfer them and create a project in version 9, so that we are able to run them in the new versions and 64 bit.

Thanks in advance

Asha

Then create your project and add the VIs to the project.  From there, fix whatever breaks.  If UI is involved, then I would also recommend some rewriting to use the Event Structure.  I don't see what more advice I can give without a lot more details on the VIs and what drivers or technologies they use.

But why stop at LabVIEW 2009?  Why not just upgrade all the way up to the current version (LabVIEW 2022 Q3)?

I don't think you have those version numbers right.

Version 6 did exist and it was from the year 2000.

Version 9 isn't a thing that existed unless you are talking about LabVIEW 2009.

Either way both of those versions you are referring to are over a decade old... are you sure you're asking the right question?
