Use the DispStyle Property (hex = 3)

I have tried using property node also. I made display style 3 and update value while typing to true then also it is changing to Normal display. I tried those options in property right click and also using property nodes. Both not working.

As of i see it is a labview bug. If update value while typing is not working with hex. Why such option is provided. I tried in 2009 sp1 also in 2010.

Hi

When we create a property node "display style" for the indicator, and set its value to 3 (for hexadecimal), your indicator would display hex value while updating the value while typing.

I agree that still when you right click on the indicator, it would show normal display checked and not the hex display. This might be a bug.

But the task could be accomplished using diplay style property.

I see the same effect. Both setting hex display and setting update value while typing work individually on either the control's properties or executing a property node. BUT setting update value while typing changes the display mode from hex to normal, and setting hex display mode turns off update value while typing (LV 2009)

I think that I did once get both hex mode and update while typing on together, but I can't now!

EDIT: To clarify; The effect is seen both on executing a property node and when using the control's right click proprety menu.

Rod.
