Update to 7.1.1 not possible if before 8.2 uninstalled

Hello,
i have installed Labview 7.1 and Labview 8.2. The i uninstalled 8.2 and wanted to update 7.1 to 7.1.1.
But there i get an error:

Update Failed
There was an error while attempting to verify the prducts for LAbview Runtime Engine
7.1.1 update. Please repair or reinstall the products before running this application.

The error is, that Labview 8.2 also installs the Labview RunTime 7.1.1 and this is not uninstalled when removing LV 8.2

After i uninstalled everything and only installed LV 7.1 and the Update 7.1.1 it works without problems.
It took me very long because i also had to uninstall Teststand before removing the Runtime 7.1.1 was possible.

So the question is:
How can i update 7.1 to 7.1.1 if Labview 8.2 is also parallel installed? (or was installed before)

Here is another solution.  When you run the LabVIEW 7.1.1 updater, the installer is unzipped to the user's Local Setting\Temp folder.  From there you can go to the subfolder components\LV711 and run LabVIEW711.msi.  This updates just the development environment to LabVIEW 7.1.1 without even attempting to update the runtime engine.
