Unable to log in to cRIO 9074 to setup windows mapped drive

Solved!
Go to solution

So first of all, I am following this tutorial: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000YGytCAG&l=en-US

I'm trying to get access to the TDMS file I'm recording data to on my cRIO-9074. And looks like I can use either FTP server, or WebDAV. I'm going with WebDAV for no reason other than a tutorial gave me a tutorial to WebDAV.

When I choose to Map Network Drive on my computer, I have the drive as "Z:", and the folder as "http://192.168.1.47/files/". I disabled Reconnect at sign-in, and enabled Connect using different credentials.

Then a windows security window pops up and asks me to enter the username and password. I'm assuming this is for the cRIO. I can't find anywhere in NI-MAX that states the current username, so I'm using the default which is "admin". I gave my cRIO a password in NI-MAX, which is "password", for simplicity sake. So I enter that in for the password on the windows security popup, but it doesn't work. After a few tries it says Access Denied.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong? I attached screenshots. Thanks

Ok, turns out all I had to do was open a file explorer on my PC, and type in ftp://192.168.1.47 and that allowed me to enter in the default username which is admin, and then the password that I set up. I can now see the files. FINALLY
