USB PCTV

Hi everybody,
I'm actually using a Pinnacle PCTV USB device to acquire video on my PC. I've installed the application, it works with the provided software (Studio PCTV USB), but I'd like to know wether it's possible to control the dll of the device drivers (see attached zip) so as to be able to do snap shot of the video in using a LabVIEW function.I also have ActiveX dlls but they are to heavy to attach (10M).
I've already used IMAQ and a PCI 1411 to do this but as the equipment is not a NI product, I may have to do more effort to do the same, I've never used dll on LabVIEW and I don't know exactly which is the one to use.

Another solution could be to use another USB video acquirement device to do this, in the same price range and maybe with all LabVIEW drivers provided,if someone heard about it...

I hope you could help me. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

The only way I can help you with your dll is to send you the method to call dlls from Labview. I join a pdf that explains the use of externally code in labview.
Besides, the link below can interest you... It talks about a free Imaq driver for USB cameras. This way should simplify your work.

Hope it will help you,
