UNC not supported when using System Exec vi

VI contains System Exec vi. I used a Get Path VI to feed current directort to System Exec VI. The following Standard Error is returned

CMD.EXE was started with '\\server\drive\path' as the current directory path. UNC paths
are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory.

This worked in 7.0 but not in 7.1. Is there a System Parameter to allow UNCs?

Hello,

This appears to be an issue related to CMD.exe more than LabVIEW. When you say they this worked with 7.0 was it with the exact same command line passed to System Exec.vi?

A method to disable the check for a UNC path in CMD.exe is described here. However, I must caution you that this suggestion involves editing the registry which should always be done with great care.
