Typical versus abnormal execution time for Advanced asynchronous TDMS write/read

Does anyone  have experience writing and reading Advanced asynchronous TDMS files specifically regarding how long it should normally take to write or read a 1000000(size per channel) x 100 (# of channels) 2D SGL array just once. I am seeing execution times of about 4 to 5 seconds.

Does this sound normal or would you expect faster responses.

Also apart from running labVIEW as an administrator how do you get around the error it throws when you disable buffer?

Hi blessedk,

so you write 100M SGL values, which need 400Mb of RAM/ on disc.

This is quite a lot to save and I guess saving data at 100Mb/s is quite ok (for a usual harddisc).

Do you use a SSD?

Best regards,
