Two Questions

Hello everyone,

1) I'm reading data from an external device and would like to write it to a file. I have been able to accomplish this step. Now, I want to write my error codes to another file. Please help on how to write to two separate files. Any examples will be appreciated.

2) How can I have my data be written to the same file for a week/month and then automatically start writing to a new file for the following week/month. I know I can append it but how can I make it write to the same file for sometime and then automatically make it write to another file for another period of time. Is this even possible?

Thank you in advance,

Corina

1.  Create another file open path for the other file.

2.  Store the file paths in shift registers.  Use a case structure so that if the condition is met (new week, new month, whatever), the true case will close the old file reference and open a new one with the new name.  In the false case, the file reference wires are just wired through.
