Trigger

Hi,

I have two PCI-6110E cards in one station. Each card has four channels. My
problem is that I would like to get eight signals with LabView, and each
card should have the same trigger-signal (first card, channel 1). How can I
trigger the second card with the signal of the first card. There is a port
on the card (this port you cannot see outside the station), I think with 10
pins. Have I connect the two cards with this port?

Thanks

Ralf

The internal connector that you are referring to is called the RTSI connector (Real-time System Integration). You will need to make connections through this connector to trigger one PCI card from another.

To see the pinout of the RTSI connector, take a look at the following link.

Here's another document which describes how to synch two PCI boards using RTSI.
