Tree Get Column Number Problem

Hello Everyone,

I need to get the column number of the column clicked by the user in a tree. I used 'Tree point to rowcolumn.vi' from the vi library. But it is not returning the column number correctly for some columns. I hereby have attached the vi which I am using. Suppose you click on column 17, it is returning a column value of 16. But if you click on second half part of the column 17, it is returning as column 17 correctly. Anybody have an idea, why this is happening?

Thanks,
Vasanth.

Why don't you use the point to row method of the tree control?

Ton,

Sorry, I am using LabVIEW 7.1. This property is not available in 7.1.

Thanks,

Vasanth.

Vasanth,

I am seeing the same incorrect behavior you are when I run your VI in LabVIEW 7.1.  I haven't been able to figure out why yet but I will look into it a little more and post when I know more.

It seems this is another area where the improvements we made for LabVIEW 8.2 would help you out tremendously.

Simon,

You are right. LabVIEW 8.2 works very well for this. It is returning the column number correctly but LabVIEW 7.1 does not. Let me see what I can do for LabVIEW 7.1.

Thanks,

Vasanth.
