Hi..
I am trying to use the "Transfer Function (Simulation Module)" but after I choose it to place it on the block diagram a "not allowed" sign appears indicating that the block I selected cannot be placed. Could you please help?
Regards..

My guess is you can only drop this function in a Simulation Subsystem or a Simulation Loop. This applies to many Simulation Module functions, because they rely on the properties and state of the specified solver to perform their calculations.

I do not know what do you mean by a simulation subsystem. There is nothing on my block diagram when I try to insert this block. I noticed also that other blocks in the same sub-category ("contiuous linear systems" which is under "simulation") are refusing to be placed as well. I uninstalled the toolkit then re-installed but the problem remained. Please Advise.

You can NOT place a LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Transfer Function directly on the block diagram of a VI or subVI. They require you to place the function inside a Control and Simulation Loop, which is located at the palette "Control Design and Simulation >> Simulation". You can also place them inside a simulation subsystem, which you are not using it. To create one, go to "File >> New..." and select under "Create New >> Other Files" the Simulation Subsystem.
Now, before you try to use any of those tools, I would strongly advice you to look at our fast paced tutorial that shows you how to work with the product. If you go to "Help >> LabVIEW Help", there you will load the "LabVIEW Help" windown. Under Contents, find the book called "Control Design and Simulation Module" and follow the instructions under "Tutorial: Getting Started with Simulation". If you do not have LabVIEW 2010, then you can also look for the instructions in this folder, however, it is not very compact as the tutorial.
Hope this helps
