Tone Measurement Express VI Divisor

Working on a test sequence now that requires me to perform and OSCAL.  Using a PCIe-6363 alng with LabVIEW Tone Measurement Express VI for freq measurement.   I'm wondering if anyone could tell me how the VI calculates the freq.... Leading adge to Leading Edge(single wave form)? or average freq over time or # of samples?

here I posted a presentation that should also be somewhere here on the ni webpages that explains the tone detection vi ... and I think the tone measurement express vi is using that vi.

But I'm not shure since I always try to avoid express vis 😉
