Timeout

Hello,

I am making a VI that prompts a user to choose Yes or No but if the user is away, it waits 30 secs (with time counter) and proceed to next step.
I used event loop but it still sits there until yes or no is clicked. Can anyone help me please?

Thank you~

Hi,
you can wire the timeout terminal of the event structure. By default, the event structure will never time out.
Just wire 30000 msec to the terminal add a event case for the yes and no button and send True to the End terminal of the while loop out of the two cases.
Have a look at the vi, it should do what you wanted.
