Time --> frequency domain

Hi,

For some close to DC frequency measurements I'm using a DC accelerometer. It
produces a waveform around 3 volts (AC: app. 1 volt, DC app. 3 volt)

Before sending this array to the power spectrum.vi I remove the DC component
by using 'AC and DC estimator.VI'. From the signal I subtract the by this vi
produced DC component.

Can anyone think of a reason why this method is wrong??

Thanx,

Hi Ron@ld,
sure you can use this method,
please note the AC- estimate output is RMS not a real signal.
You have to get the DC component and subtract it from the input signal.
