The feature you are trying to use is on a CD

Hi,

After Windows update (Service pack3) each time I start LabVIEW 7.1.1 message appeared;"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD......Please insert NI Server Explorer 7.0 disk and cklick OK".  I don't know from which CD  can install this,  usually selecting the "Cancel" option. Then pop up the message " Error 1706. No valid sopurce could be found for product NI server Explorer 7.0. The windows installer cannot continue" comes. After few cancels  LV is working fine. Any idea what is going on?
Thank you for help in advance

I would have suggested the same as what mathan suggested.

So you tried repairing and re-installing Labview?  Do you have additional features such as NI-DAQ or Vision, etc?  Di d you re-install those?
I realize that SP3 is rather recent.  I always wait a while before installing Service Packs from microsoft..  They never fully test them 😞

Was everything okay before installing SP3?  I will do a search to see if others have complained about it..

Thank you for trying,

Yes I did repaired RT Engine 7.0, shall I try also NI-DAQ, or may be better to start with Runtime Engine 7.1.1? I also can wait unless get real understanding, cause after few cancels LabVIEW works without problems. Just a bit annoying: not clear whats going on.

Proceeding with DAQ is probably a good idea.

Yes, that was a good hint. After repairing NI-DAQ and all consequent softwares asked by installer, Server Explorer 7.0 installation message was gone.
Thank you all,
