Terminal label default placement

I have seen a number of third-party VIs that have the label for the control (or indicator) in-line with the block diagram terminal.

Is there a way to make this the default, or do I have to move each one individually?

Hi jspaarg,

For custom controls, typedefs etc you could maybe but for built in controls I don't think so, or a least not easily.

I found a thread with a potential workaround. Personally I think I will just keep wasting my time placing labels where I want them.

Thanks, I had already seen that thread, but it didn't really address what I wanted to know.

As a complainer, I should start a list of enhancements (with this being one).

As an engineer with too many tasks and not enough time, I don't.

This is one of the new options in LV 8. You can define a default position for the labels, and a default behaviour (free or snap).
