Cordialement
Vincent.

Hi Vincent,
works your measuring instrument as tcp server or as client? If it is a client, then you can create a server to which the device can connect to. You'll find a lot of examples about tcp/ip in the example finder.
Hope it helps.

If your instrument acts as a server (it accepts connections from other programs) then you may be able to connect to it from both the measurement software and LabVIEW at the same time; you'll need to look at the instrument documentation and try it out. You'll also need to know the protocol that the instrument uses to send data.
If the measurement software (not the instrument) acts as the server then it's more difficult. You cannot have both the measurement software and your LabVIEW program listening on the same TCP port at the same time; whichever program opens the port first will have access. In this case you should see if there's some way to integrate the measurement software into your LabVIEW program, perhaps through ActiveX or by reading the data files it generates.
