Hi - Yes thanks.

I found an example VI after installing everything in Express > Instr Drivers > CPX 400 > Examples.

I then was able turn on/off the desired voltage.

This then suddenly stopped working.....

coming up wit the error;

VISA (HEX 0xbfff0000)

Unknown stsyem error

I have also created a logical name in the IVI drivers directory in MAX. I did this after I had it it working and then it stopped working as I though this was the problem.

Hi Stigwood,

How is this instrument connected to your PC? When the error occurs, did you check if the instrument is still identified as a VISA resource in MAX? it is worth doing a self-test from MAX to make sure that the instrument has not lost connection with the computer.

Thanks and Regards,

Thanks and Regards,

Hi. Sorry to hijack an old post. I had encountered a same problem. MAX shows that it is connecting on a VISA, self-test is done without a problem. But somehow I keep getting an error of 0xBFFF0011. Help is very much appreciated!

I'm struggling just trying to get the CPX400 drivers onto my computer. Any suggestions there? I've downloaded the "CPX Series Power Supplies combined LabVIEW..." and the "CPX Series Power Supplies IVI Driver..." I was hoping it should should up in "Instrument Drivers" on the function palette but that has not been the case.

Hi PFour,

I have just downloaded the driver from here: https://www.aimtti.com/resources/cpx-series-power-supplies-combined-labview-driver-and-labwindows-cv...

When you unzip and run the setup.exe from the folder it will run you through an installation of the drivers. This will be saved to this location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2017\instr.lib

However, if you completely close and re-open LabVIEW (I am using 2017) and go to the functions pallette as shown in the image below:

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Dear all,

Matthew

I am trying the same thing and I arrived to the situation of Matthew, as the icon of CPI400 is shown in the instr drivers palette, but I still can't get the VI working.

Do I have to install the IVI driver as well, on NI MAX? Can you please explain how to do? Do you have a labview code working to control the power supply? When I run the example provided by TTi, I got the following error message:

Possible reason(s):

VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0011) Insufficient location information or the device or resource is not present in the system.

Complete call chain:
CPX400 Initialize With Options.vi
CPX400 Initialize.vi
CPX400 Example - Output DC Volts.vi

I think I am missing a step in MAX, to install the IVI Driver, I am just not sure how to do that, somebody who got the device work can help me please? THanks

Just a small detail, I have the CPX200P and not the CPX400, but when navigating in TTi website, it seems that CPX series all accept the same driver

Hello all,

I  trying to remotely control the TTi-CPX400DP Power supply with NI.

I have installed all the drivers available from its site.

Can anybody post an LabVIEW example to control the Power Supply.

It would be really helpful.

Thanks,
