SubVi is recalled by a function: why?

I created a SubVi that uses the "Scan Strings For Tokens" function. After I used this SubVi in the main Vi, if I use the "Scan Strings For Tokens" function, it calls the SubVi!! How can I stop this?

Could you create a demo, e.g. a simple toplevel VI that shows the behavior?

You are running 6.01b3, which is pretty old. Maybe it's time to upgrade ;-).

And beta as well! Beta versions usually are timeprotected and don't run
after the projected final release data. And 6.01 was a rather bad
release with a few serious bugs having slipped into the bug fix, which
were promptly fixed in a 6.02 version, released only a short time later.
