Stop displaying data automatically after 10 sec of power on

According to this subject I have to read the value till 10 sec after power on after that I will be reading the new data but I have to display the same old data which I had received in start up time.  I have no idea how to set a time or counter.

Here  I am using serial communication.

Why don't you provide more relevant information:

1. What version of Labview. What is your platform

2. What is the setup of your equipment. What are you connecting to, etc.

3. How are you programming the application. Attaching the VI will help a lot

A lot of people are not familiar at all with your setup. You need to give people some basis to understand your setup.
