I am quite interested in the Statechart module but have several concerns that perhaps I could get feedback on. I tried the eval of the statechart module some time ago.
1) Does statechart module support LVOOP. Specifically can the internal datatypes of the statechard module support classes. (within the states and transitions your inputs and outputs are limited to what you have specified already within the statechart you are developing. Can you specify classes?)
2) Has the Statechart module sufferd from bitrot. Meaning it was introduced some years ago but did NI misread the market and/or charge too much for it and has it wound up as basically disused and getting very minimal work done on it if any. I am looking at it quite seriously as it could be really helpful to what we are trying to do but not if it is not up to date or well supported.
Any feedback would be greatfully received.
Many thanks

David,
From the research I have done, it seems like you can do LVOOP using the Statechart Module. The only caveat is a known issue about using queues of any data type in the recent release. This is scheduled to be fixed in a future release. I suggest downloading the evaluation and trying it out to make sure it has the specific functionality you are looking for.
National Instruments will continue supporting the Statechart Module. Currently the development on it is focused on bug fixes. I hope this answers your questions.
