Hi Folks,

In response to one of the previous questions the hardware - this project is built around a 4 slot cDAQ

  1. National Instruments Datalogging Chassis – NI-cDAQ-9184
  2. National Instruments Digital source/sink module NI-9375 (limit triggers)
  3. National Instruments Relay output module – NI-9481 (Motor power)
  4. National Instruments voltage input module – NI-9215 (for current shunt)
  5. National Instruments Temperature module – NI-9211 (K-type)
  6. Power Supply - Power 28v/24v ISO-TECH IPS-2303 (dual output)

I've just roughly completed the producer/consumer and the performance has improved considerably.

In addition, I have stolen on of Kevin’s ideas.  I’m buffering up the ‘Recent Past’ and dumping to disk upon error. This has already flagged up a problem with the in-rush current.

Thanks

Si

I thought dual loops would be right for you - I'm glad you're seeing a performance increase.

Looking at your device list, there isn't anything that concerns me - especially at the low data rate. You'll be grand 🙂

Hi Folks,

I’m pleased to say that my fatigue rig ran faultlessly overnight, which I will take as a win.

So, I’d like to thank everybody for their input, especially Kevin and McQuillan.

While, in this situation dual loops solved my problem, Kevin’s property node solution looks fascinating and I will be exploring that outside work time.

Regards and much thanks to all

Si
