Easy Tip :- "To copy an image to a VI icon, drag the image file and place it on the icon
located in the upper right corner of the front panel or block diagram" ...If you know any

I found a great example that should answer your questions about how to get the correct movement between joints.  It is the 3D Animated Hand example posted on the community.  You will notice that it combines multiple objects together and performs rotations on the combined objects.
