Small windows problem

I have without problems used both LV 7 and LV 6.1 on

my computer some month now. But now suddenly all windows

under 6.1 has decided they want to display themselves

as the same-size to small window. All user-interface

windows and all my VIs all come up in a to small window,

all the same size. What on earth can this be ?

I have tried to reinstall LV 6.1, but without any

improvements of the situation. Any good tips about what

could cause this problem ?

1... Quit both LabVIEWs
2... Find the file "LabVIEW.INI" somewhere in the 6.1 folder and move it to the desktop. (Remember where it was)
3... Start LabVIEW 6.1 - see if the problem is still there.
4... If it IS, then never mind - I'm barking up the wrong tree.
5... If it's NOT, then something got gorched in the file. I don't think a re-install will overwrite that file. You can move the INI file back to where it was and try to figure out what it is, or just trash the INI file on the desktop and re-enter whatever preferences you had set.

Can you tell me what size windows open up to? 100x100? 200x200?

If you open up a VI from VI.lib, does it have a small window too?

If you open up a diagram, does it have a small window too?

Do these VIs open normally in LV 7?

What OS are you running on? I remember seeing something on the forum like this recently on a UNIX machine, but don't remember seeing a resolution to it.

This is getting weirder.
The window size is about 407 x 131.
But, there seem to be a connection with LV 7 !
If I have LV7 open when I start LV 6.1 or 5.1.1,
they come up with all windows the same size as the
first blank VI-size that LV 7 used.
I'm talking about front panels, diagrams, and
all other user windows accessible from the LV menu (Hierarchy window,
Options, VI Library manager etc etc).
Everything is normal under LV 7. I'm using XP as OS.

I just tried it (Win2000) and do not have that issue.

I left LV 7 open, then opened a few VIs with 6.1 - they came up normally - all windows were their expected size, diagrams were normal.

I would collect all the measurements you can (window sizes, etc.) and contact tech support:

I reinstalled the driver to my Matrix Millenium G450 Dualhead,
and that did the trick.
