Set Up for RTD from Dwyer Omega

Hello!

I'm new to using RTDs and have been reading some articles about how to set them up in the NI DAQ Assistant. However, I am having trouble locating some of the values that are needed. I am hoping to use a PR-10E-3-100-1/8-3 RTD and a SA1-RTD (both from Dwyer Omega). Has anyone used these before or know where I can get the values to input the into NI DAQ Assist?

Thank you!

Hi lost,

which DAQ device do you want to use (or have available) to actually read the RTD data?

Using RTDs (like your PT100) is quite common…

Best regards,
GerdW

Hello Gerd!

Sorry, I should've mentioned that in my original post. I am using a NI cDAQ-9188 and a NI 9219.

And you did wire those PT100 as is described in the manual of the NI9219? It mentions 3- and 4-wire RTDs…

Best regards,

Yes, the RTDs are wired in the pinout described in the NI 9219 manual (3-wire). I'm just confused on whether I need to make a custom RTD Type and if I need to change the default set up values.

How did you setup your DAQmx task?

Did you use one of those DAQmx example VIs to start your own code development?

Best regards,
GerdW
