Hi guys,
Sorry if I sound ignorant/uneducated, I'm not completely familiar with LabVIEW functions.
I was wondering what the easiest way to implement a rotary SSI encoder would be. The encoder would communicate with LabVIEW to measure the angular position of a motor, and also be used to move the motor in sinusoidal motion.
Thanks.

Hi,
One of the ways you can implement a SSI encoder would be using a FPGA with digital lines. This FPGA works well with Labview. I am attaching a link that might help you with your problem measuring the angular position.

Just to add a bit onto this, this requires a purchase of an FPGA board, that you can see here: https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/category/multifunction-io.html?productId=118690, and using the LabVIEW FPGA Module, both of these in addition to the LabVIEW installation that you already have.
