Runtime engine is too large

When I want to generate an exe, a runtime engine is request if there is no labview in another computer, and it's too large(150MB minimum without any addition packages). Is it possible that a tiny exe generated with small size, like python?

You can exclude the Runtime engine from the installer but in any case, to run an exe built using LabVIEW, you NEED the correct LabVIEW runtime engine installed on the machine, either included in the installer or install separately from the internet or disk, no workaround.

Just curious, where are you installing this on such that you feel 150MB is large in this age where easily all computers come with at least 128GB HDD.

150MB is not large and needs to be installed only once per computer. Downloading it is most likely the fastest part of the installation.

Nowadays, even a driver for a typical graphics card is 4-5x larger and still wants to update every couple of weeks.

What exactly is your concern? Are you trying to distribute this on floppies?

According to StackOverflow a Python install is 234 MB.
