Running a new app.- problem

Installation itself no probs, the FPLVMgr.dll in the right place (it seems so anyway) but it seems we are getting a message concerning the iak file.  Originally as it was on desktop, but after different placements in and arround the executable vi file, we are still getting a message "There is no configuration file assigned to "FieldPoint" on this machine.  Please select a configuration file".

OK is then pressed, the iak file selected and a message pops up before allowing the vi to run, (runs no problems it appears), saying "The assignment of the file (path I chose for the iak file) could not be saved to disk.

So every time its opened this procedure has to be done, which means the iak isnt in the right place.

I then use tools:options: paths (not default) :VI search path: the directory the iak file is at.

Which seems to stick until I restart the application at a later date.

Added a couple of screenies too.

Hope someone can help.

Hi Steven,

Have you seen this Knowledge Base?
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/2DC46E07FAA0A5EF86256F35006E9AE5?OpenDocument

The link at the bottom of that KB is also quite useful. I would recommend deleting everything from the test machine and starting from scratch.

If that doesn't help, before running the application, try opening the IAK file in MAX to apply the configuration settings and save. Test some of the channels just to make sure they're all working.

Let me know how you get on.
