Hello,

I have not seen this error before, can you attach a screenshot and/or perhaps an error number that accompanied the problem?  In the mean time, here are a couple documents providing solutions to problems others have had with the student edition:

Hi JLS
Thanks for the assistance, managed to solve the problem.
After the installation process , you have to first activate the Licence Manager before launching LabView. This was not stated clearly in the book so I was trying to start the application without activating the Licence Manager.
A license number is sent which, I guess validates the application,so no activation hence the error. The application is running fine now,  guess you learn something new everyday. 🙂

Hello,

Ok, that makes sense.  I have never tried to run it without first activating, but yes, I suppose we do (or at least should) learn something everyday 🙂

Thanks for posting the solution!
