Run FPGA Compile Server on a remote machine as a service

Hi,

is it possible (how?) to run the FGPA compiler on a remote machine as a service? Remote operation works by just starting the tool on the remote machine and entering the IP in the Build options, but you have to be logged in in order to do so.... so using it as a service would be desirable for me.

It really sucks having your computer blocked by the compiler and having a idling small server in the corner of the office which could do this job as well....

Hello,

I don't know an official way to do this but the compiler of the LabVIEW FPGA module is a tool from Xilinx so I don't have all the internal information. On the other hand there are 3rd party tools available that can run any application as a service (e. g. here) so maybe this could be a solution for you.
