Reusing some old but perfect products like the cDAC-9172

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear fellow Labview enthousiast, I'm a retired long time user of Labview and for a project I would like to use this cDAC-9172 and a few high quality ADC/DAC units. Yet I find that these are not supported anymore in the current (community) version. Is there a way to still reuse this equipment? The latest Labview Developer Release release I have is 2011 (unfortunately I lost my credentials like activation code...). Is there a way to work with these tools outside of Labview perhaps?

Kind regards, Peter

It looks like the last version of DAQmx that supports the cDAQ-9172 is 17.5.  So you need a version of LabVIEW that is supported by that version of DAQmx (ie LabVIEW 2017 back to maybe 2014).

cDAQ-9172 is last supported in NI-DAQmx 17.5 (Devices and Modules No Longer Supported in NI-DAQmx)

You can use NI-DAQmx in Text Based Programming Environments
